What type of wildflower season will we
have in 2010?
Nancy Harnach, Botanist,
Naturalist, Earth Mother Extraordinaire:
"The "belly plants" the little tiny plants
you have to get down on your belly to see
(buttercups, violets, milk maids) can be
seen in March, April and May, below the sage
brush. Desert Peach can be seen in
Beckwourth as early as April. Phlox,
Camas, and Iris in May and June, depending
on how quickly the weather warms up. Evening
Primrose and Prickly Poppy can be seen off
of HWY 70 in May and June."
